Bride Hall secures funding to develop retail scheme

Bride Hall Developments has agreed on a £15m full funding with LondonMetric PLC to build a retail scheme in Uckfield, East Sussex, which it has pre-let to M&S Food and Home Bargains.

As revealed by Property Week, the developer received planning permission for a 41,000 sq ft development on the last two available sites at The Ashdown Business Park, which has been pre-let to both retailers.

The developer told Property Week that it expected to exchange contracts this month on another “prime site” that would be anchored by M&S Food and has two further projects with M&S in the pipeline, as well “a mixed-use commercial and residential regeneration scheme in Swindon”.

On the Uckfield scheme, Bride Hall was represented by Stockford Anderson and M&S was represented by McMullen Wilson.
